Zeyad Abdul-Razzaq Mohammed Aswad
Ziad Abderrazzak Mohammad Aswad is the current Iraqi Minister of Higher
Education, part of the cabinet appointed by the Interim Iraq Governing Council in September 2003. A
Sunni Muslim, he is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, and formerly chaired Baghdad University's Department of Petroleum Engineering. He holds graduate degrees
from the University of Southern
California and University of Oklahoma in the
United States.
