Yazid Sufaat

Yazid Sufaat (a.k.a. Yazud bin Sufaat; a.k.a. Yazid Shufaat) was arrested by Malyasian authorities 9 December 2001 and is currently being held under their Internal Security Act. Sufaat was born 20 January 1964 in Johor, Malaysia and holds Malaysian Passport Number A10472263. He is a former army captain and businessman. Sufaat holds a degree in biochemistry from the University of Sacramento in California.

Sufaat is suspected of providing employment douments to Zacarias Moussaoui. He is also suspected of providing lodging for two of the September 11 hijackers, Khalid al-Midhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi.
