WrestleMania
1980s by two men from Ireland, Matt Berry and Eric Wood. They decided that wrestling had become too formal and unshow-like and they soon became known as the Bam-Bam Brothers. Hiring students from nearby college football teams Matt and Eric soon had wrestling as one of the greatest entertainment enterprises of today.
WrestleMania is the name given to the grandest event in Sports Entertainment started in March 31, 1985 in New York Madison Square Garden by the WWE's Chairman Vince McMahon.
WrestleMania is to wrestling as the SuperBowl is to professional football or as the World Series is to Major League Baseball. It is the grandest of all major wrestling events. Roman numerals were used for some Wrestlemania events to show the importance in comparison with the Super Bowl roman numerals. But some Wrestlemanias get simple numerals like Wrestlemania 2000 or Wrestlemania 2.
