Whitefish is any of several different species of fish in the coregonus family.
|

This includes the lake whitefish (coregonus clupeaformis), round whitefish (Coregonus cylindraceum) also known as frostfish, cisco or lake herring (Coregonus artedii). Lake whitefish may reach 22 inches (56 cm) and 4 lbs (1.8 kg).
