Werner Hamacher is currently a Professor in the , at the University of Frankfurt and was previously Professor of German and the Humanities at The Johns Hopkins University. He is the author of "Pleroma -- Dialectics and Hermeneutics in Hegel" and "Premises: Essays on Philosophy from Kant to Celan". He is also the co-editor of the series Meridian: Crossing Aesthetics, published by Stanford University Press.
