Wednesfield is a town in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. It is to the northeast of Wolverhampton city centre, and on the A4124.
It was merged into Wolverhampton in 1966. It has a population of about 35,000.
It was formerly well-known for making all kinds of traps, from mousetraps, to mantraps.
Wednesfield town center is modest in size, but has a large market area to the rear. The high street is a pedestrian and public transport area only now. There are a number of shops, including a small supermarkett, and several pubs.
Local areas include Ashmore Park and Heath Town.
