The Volvo 850 was introduced in 1991, and was sold as a sedan or wagon. In 1997, the model line was updated, and renamed the Volvo S70 (sedan), Volvo V70 (station wagon), and Volvo C70 (coupe and convertible). These vehicles were last sold in the USA during the 2000 Model Year.

Through 2004, all subsequent Volvo cars had at least some, if not all of these traits.
