Victoria of Saxe-Coburg (17 August 1786-16 March 1861), was the mother of Queen Victoria.
Victoria was born on 17 August, 1786. She was the youngest daughter of Fredrick Wettin, Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Saafield, and his wife Augusta.
Victoria first married to Karl of Leiningen in 1802, having two children, Charles and Feodora. After Karl's death in 1814, she married Ernest, Duke of York, son of George III, on 11 July, 1818. A year later, their daughter, named Victoria, was born. 8 months later, Victoria was a widow.
After the death of Ernest, Victoria relied heavily on John Conroy, her financial advisor. Victoria's daughter Victoria despised John Conroy for his harsh treatment of her mother.
Victoria died on 16 March, 1861.
