Ve (Cyrillic)

Вв   Вв

Ve (В, в) is the third letter of the Cyrillic alphabet. In the Russian language it is usually pronounced [v], except at the end of a word, where is is pronounced [f]. It looks like the B of the Latin alphabet. Its HTML entities are: В or В for capital and в or в for lower case.

Ve's old name is Vedi. It is derived from Greek beta (Β, β), which was, evidently, already pronounced [v] in Greek by the time the Cyrillic alphabet was created.
