Development

Unreal Tournament 2004 was developed by Epic Games and Digital Extremes and published by Atari.

Demo versions for the Windows, Linux and Macintosh platforms were made available for download. By March 5, 2004 Unreal Tournament 2004 had 'gone gold'. This means that the game was finished and ready for distribution. The full game shipped on March 16, 2004 in the United States.
