The University of New Hampshire is a state university in Durham, New Hampshire (USA). It was founded in 1866. As of 2004, it has more than 10,000 undergraduate students and 2,000 graduate students, in more than 100 majors.

Academics

The University is composed of different colleges, each of which offers many different courses of study. These include the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS), College of Liberal Arts (COLA), College of Life Sciences and Agriculture, School of Health and Human Services, Thompson School of Applied Science, Whittemore School of Business and Economics, and the UNH Graduate School.

The coastal proximity of the school affords excellent programs in areas such as Marine Biology and Oceanography.

Athletics

The school's athletic teams, known as Wildcats, compete in the NCAA Division I America East Conference for most sports; the Division I-AA Atlantic Ten Conference for football; and Hockey East, also Division I.
