U.S. Highway 201 is a spur of U.S. Highway 1. 201 begins in Brunswick Maine. It follows the Kennebec River until Augusta, when it pulls away from the City and runs into the north woods. U.S. Highway 201 follows the Kennebec until Sandy Bay Township, where it enters Quebec Canada. For those who wish to follow this highway, there is an alternate route, U.S. Highway 201A.
