The 'TVR Tuscan' is a sports car manufactured by TVR.

Engine:
Essentially five different versions of the Speed Six engine were offered to customers. The first was a 4.0 liter engine which can be thought of as the "standard" Speed Six. The second was an uprated version of the same engine offered in the "Red Rose" variant of the Tuscan. The third was a further uprated variant of the 4.0 liter "Red Rose" engine offered in the "S" version of the Tuscan. The fourth was an upgrade for the "S" version in 2003 which raised both power and torque slightly. The last version was a de-stroked version of the Speed Six which provided the same horsepower rating as the "standard" Speed Six but with slightly less torque for increased "user friendliness" on wet roads.

Chassis:
Even though there have been numerous tweaks to the Tuscan's chassis and suspension over, the overall size and appearance of the variants remain virtually identical apart from minor aerodynamic aids to the "S" model in the form of an undertray in the front and a small boot-lid spoiler on the rear.

It is worth noting that these test results were achieved in a car without traction-control or anti-lock brakes. TVR's design philosphy holds that such features do not improve either the performance or safety of their vehicles and so TVR automobiles are not fitted with this equipment. TVR rejects the notion that these features, along with airbags, are "safety devices" and believes that, based on testing and experience, their cars are safer without these things than with them.
