Tube top
A boob tube (known in North America as a tube top) is a women's tight skimpy strapless and shoulderless (therefore "tube") top, usually made of an elastic material. It is held up by the breasts, thus "boob", which is vulgar slang English for a women's breasts.
In North America, boob tube is sometimes used to refer to television, normally with a negative connotation. This usage derives from the definition of "boob" as a stupid or foolish person, plus "tube", a common slang word for a television.
