Trinity (disambiguation)
Trinity can refer to any collection of three things. More specifically trinity refers to
- the central female character in the Matrix series. See Trinity (Matrix character).
- the Christian religious, spiritual, or philosophical trinity
- the Hindu trinity (Trimurti)
- the world's first atomic bomb test on the Alamogordo Bombing and Gunnery Range, about 230 miles (370 km) south of the Manhattan Project's main laboratory at Los Alamos, New Mexico (July 16, 1945). Today this 3,200 square mile (8,300 km²) range, partly located in the desolate Jornada del Muerto Valley, is named the White Sands Missile Range. See Trinity site.
- an interactive fiction game by Infocom (1986), generally considered to be one of Infocom's best. It takes its title from the nuclear test (see above).
- A novel by Leon Uris based on a fictional Irish family, the "Larkins". See Trinity (novel).
- An electoral ward, Sutton Trinity, in Birmingham, England
- A place in the State of North Carolina in the United States of America: see Trinity, North Carolina.
- A fictitious small town in the State of South Carolina, USA, the setting for television series American Gothic.
- A county in the State of California in the United States of America: see Trinity County, California.
- A river in the State of Texas, flowing through the city of Dallas and into the Gulf of Mexico: see Trinity River (Texas)
Also, a number of institutions of further education are named Trinity College, including ones in Cambridge, Oxford, Toronto, Dublin, and Connecticut. There is also a Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas as well as Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois.
