TRM is an acronym for Technical Reference Model.
See also the Federal Enterprise Architecture Program Management Office (FEA PMO). TRM is the foundation of an architecture detailing applicable standards and standard profiles. In the case of the DoD -- specifically the USAF -- the TRM also contains details about governing policies.
