Tissue plasminogen activator



         


In blood coagulation, tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) is an enzyme that activates plasminogen, leading to thrombolysis.

Recombinant tPA is used in diseases which feature blood clots, such as myocardial infarction and stroke.
