The Timurid Empire was founded in 1401 by Timur and built up by his descendents; it stretched from Georgia to India. It split up and became the Mughal Empire around 1505.
After Timur's death, the empire was taken over by Shah Rukh, his son, and after Shah Rukh's death, Ulugh Beg, Shah Rukh's son. Ulugh Beg only ruled for 2 years.
