Sovetsk (Советск, prior to 1946 - Tilsit; lt: Tilzė) is a town on Neman River in Russian (Kaliningrad Oblast, formerly East Prussia) with 30,000 inhabitants. It is famous for the treaty of Tilsit during the Napoleonic wars and for its tradition of cheese production (Tilsiter, Sovetsky).
