Three Pure Ones

The Three Pure Ones (三清; pinyin: San1 Qing1; Wade-Giles: San-ch'ing) are three Taoist deities. They are:

• the Jade Pure (玉清; pinyin: Yu4 Qing1; Wade-Giles: Yu-ch'ing)
• the Upper Pure (上清; pinyin: Shang4 Qing1; Wade-Giles: Shang-ch'ing)
• the Great Pure (太清; pinyin: Tai4 Qing1; Wade-Giles: T'ai-ch'ing)
