Three's Company
Three's Company is an American sitcom that ran from 1977 to 1984 on ABC. The show was a remake of the British sitcom Man About the House and revolved around two women and a man sharing an apartment together.
Three's Company spawned two spinoffs, The Ropers, revolving around Jack's former landlords, and Three's a Crowd, the further adventures of Jack as he settles down. Neither was as popular and both were swiftly cancelled. Both were based on spinoffs of the original British shows "George and Mildred" and "Robin's Nest", both of which produced more episodes than the original).
Suzanne Somers was later fired from the show due to salary demands, and because she would make up excuses not to show up on set. She appeared in the last minute in each episode, but after her contract was up, Three's Company producers fired Somers. Joyce DeWitt and John Ritter also refused to work with her.
Towards the end of the series, commercials were released hinting that Jack Tripper and Janet Wood would be married. However, Janet married another man, and Jack eventually opened a restaurant and moved in with his girlfriend.
The show was set in Los Angeles, California and sometimes
Santa Monica.

- John Ritter as Jack Tripper, the clumsy culinary student and swinging bachelor who initally has to pretend he's gay so he can live with two female roommates.
- Joyce DeWitt as Janet Wood, the down to earth brunette.
- Suzanne Somers as Chrissy Snow (77-81), the ditzy blonde.
- Jenilee Harrison as Cindy Snow (80-82), Chrissy's equally ditzy cousin and her replacement in the apartment.
- Priscilla Barnes as Teri Alden (81-84), Cindy's replacement, a non-ditzy, intelligent blonde nurse who seemed to be the show's answer to complaints about their portrayal of blondes.
- Norman Fell (77-79) as Stanley Roper, the hard-nosed landlord who seemed obsessed with Jack's sexuality.
- Audra Lindley (77-79) as Helen Roper, the landlord's wife, who was always friendly to the "kids" in the apartment and frustrated that her husband never wanted to have sex.
- Don Knotts as Ralph Furley (79-84), Mr. Roper's replacement, the goofy, flamboyantly dressed landlord who was running the place for his brother Bart.
- Richard Kline as Larry Dallas (78-84), the womanizing neighbor who was a used car salesman.
- Ann Wedgeworth as Lana Shields (79-80), the neighbor who pursued Jack, and in turn was pursued by Furley.
