Theophilia

religion (or its advocates) that thinks God is good and will rationalize God as good when evidence suggests otherwise (for example, blaming existence of evil on Satan or man when God appears to be at fault).

This term is used by maltheists, who view God not as benevolent and worthy of worship, but as a brutal bully who demands and extorts worship from human beings in exchange (supposedly) for his not harming them. The term is used to distinguish theists who love God (theophiles) from those who don't, as an attempt to circumvent the erroneous belief that all those who believe in the existence of God believe him to be good.
