The Toxic Avenger

The Toxic Avenger, released in 1985, is the most famous movie made by Troma Pictures, known for producing low budget B-movies with campy concepts. This particular film became an instant hit (and began a franchise of sequels). Melvin, a geek who works at a health club, is thrown out the second story window by a bunch of muscle jocks. He lands into a vat of toxic waste and is transformed into an abomination of a gruesome human being; muscular, but with a hideously deformed face. He goes on to fight crime and all types of baddies, and eventually, of course, gets the girl. There are currently four films in the series.
