The Incredibles is Pixar Animation Studios' next animated film. It is scheduled to be released on November 5, 2004.
It was written and developed by Brad Bird, a former director for Family Dog and The Simpsons, best known for directing the animated movie The Iron Giant. The Incredibles was originally developed as a traditionally-animated movie, but after Warner Bros. shut down its animation division, Brad Bird moved to Pixar, taking the story with him.

Years ago, the superhero Mr. Incredible, (a.k.a. Bob Parr) went into retirement due to a rise in lawsuits against heroes, and now lives a quiet suburban life with his wife Helen (formerly Elastigirl) and their three children. Bored with tranquility, Mr. Incredible leaps at a chance from a mysterious benefactor to be a hero again; when he is soon ensnared in danger, it's up to his family to save Mr. Incredible -- and the rest of the world.
