The Crazy World of Arthur Brown peaked at #7 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart.

The Crazy World of Arthur Brown was also the name of the band. This causes some confusion, especially since drummer Carl Palmer joined the group after the album was released, but while the group was still touring. Original drummer Drachen Theaker was too afraid of flying to tour, so Palmer replaced him.
