The Berkshires

The Berkshires are a range of mountains that are located in western Massachusetts and eastern New York. They're relatively low compared to the Rocky Mountains (for example). In the summer, they're lush and green, and the region is a popular tourist destination. The beautiful mountains make for great hiking and camping opportunities, and a concert venue and educational facility, called Tanglewood, hosts numerous concerts throughout the year (classical, pop, celebrity, etc.) The Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts is another major attraction of the Berkshires.
