Techno Pop

Techno Pop was an unreleased album by Kraftwerk. It was supposed to be released in 1983, but due to a cycling accident that put lead singer, Ralf Hütter, in a coma, it was delayed. It was eventually given a catalog number by Capitol Records and a release date. Hütter, at the last minute, decided to totally re-work the album with digital instruments, instead of analog. It was released with digital instruments in 1986 as "Electric Cafe."

Although, Hütter says "Techno Pop" contained the same songs as "Electric Café," it is the general belief that "Techno Pop" had more songs. "Techno Pop" had the single, "Tour de France," which did not appear on "Electric Café," but was released only as single. It is also rumored that some of the songs on 2003's "Tour de France Soundtracks" could have been on "Techno Pop."

Some advanced copies of the album exist, but none have ever surfaced, keeping the lost album in mystery.
