Taipei Prefecture (Japanese Rule)
Taipei Prefecture (台北州, Japanese: TaihokushĂ») was created in 1920. Its office, which is now occupied by the Control Yuan, was in Taipei City. There were one city (市) and nine districts (郡) in Taipei Prefecture in 1920.
