Tahaa is an island component of Tahiti. It produces 80% of all Tahiti's Vanilla. Because of the constant aroma of vanilla, Tahaa's is known as the "Vanilla Island". Tahaa's pearls are of exceptional quality.
The islands of Raiatea and Tahaa were originally one island and they are contained within the same atoll.
