History
The school was founded in 1883, making it the oldest boys' state school in Sydney. At this time, it was located on Castlereagh Street in the city of Sydney. Later, it moved to Mary Ann Street, Ultimo. In 1928, the school moved to its current location at Roden Cutler, VC — former state governor
