Swiss Grand Prix
The Swiss Grand Prix was an automobile race.
Grand Prix motor racing came to Switzerland in 1934 to the Bremgarten circuit located just outside the city of Bern. The Bremgarten track would remain the home of the Swiss Grand Prix until 1954 after which motor racing was banned by the Swiss government as an unsafe spectator sport following the death of 80 people at the 1955 24 hours of Le Mans.
The Swiss Grand Prix returned to the racing calendar in 1975 and again in 1982, albeit at a track just across the border in Dijon, France. In 1975, it seemed fitting to the many Swiss spectators who made the trip to see their first national race in more than 20 years, that it was won by Swiss-born driver 1934 - Hans Stuck - (Switzerland) - Auto Union
