A Student Design Competition is a competition between teams of students. The objectives of the competition are to introduce students to real world engineering situations and to teach students Mini-baja. Today, almost every field of engineering has several design competitions. The Society of Automotive Engineers organizes the largest and most prestigious design competitions including Mini-baja, Sunryce, and Formula SAE.
