Stripe

Stripesy is a fictional character, a superhero in the DC Comics universe.

Stripesy was Pat Dugan. He was a unique character in that he was an adult sidekick to a teenage superhero, Sylvester Pemberton the Star-Spangled Kid. Stripesy was a gifted mechanic, building the duo's car, the Star Rocket Racer. Together the duo was in the Seven Soldiers of Victory and were members of the Justice Society.

Pat has resurfaced in the modern age. When his step-daughter, Courtney Whitmore, became the second Star-Spangled Kid in order to annoy him, he developed a robotic suit of armor and changed his moniker to S.T.R.I.P.E., accompanying her to keep her out of harm's way. Pat has also assisted Superman's comrade Steel.

Stripesy and the Star-Spangled Kid were created by Jerry Siegel and Hal Sherman.
