Stephen Carpenter

Stephen Carpenter, (born August 3, 1973) is a US musician, the lead guitarist in Deftones.

His band Deftones are based in Sacramento, California, where they enjoyed the early sponsorship of local favourites Korn. With that band they also shared a fan community drawn from skateboarders. The members of the band actually met while skateboarding, and their first rehearsals together took place in 1989, where they jammed on rough versions of Danzig's "Twist Of Cain". Deftones albums are: Like Linus (demo) (1991) and then the LPs are Adrenaline (1995), Around The Fur (1997), White Pony (2000), and their 4th LP Deftones (2003).
