Steel Panthers



         


Steel Panthers is a complex, turn based strategy game for the PC with a World War II setting. It offers various modes of play: human vs. human, human vs. AI, or PBEM (play by email). Players can customize single scenarios or create their own campaigns.

The players reveice historical military units at the beginning of a scenario and have the option to buy reinforcements with points earned in different ways. The units are then moved on a map of hex fields (six sided fields) that are aligned in a certain way and are used in many turn based board and PC games.

The goal is usually to occupy several 'objective hexes' and stay on them until the scenario is finished either by completely eliminating the opposing commanders forces or reaching the turn limit.
