Starfleet Engineering Corps

In the fictional universe of Star Trek, the Starfleet Engineering Corps is tasked with the design, construction, and maintenance of Starfleet shore installations and starships. Also referred to as the Starfleet Corps of Engineers, members of the Engineering Corps should not be confused with Starfleet Engineering Officers which are line personnel assigned to starships in such capacities as Chief Engineer.

The Starfleet Engineering Corps is comparable to the Seabees of the 20th and 21st century United States Navy.
