Sparky was a British comic book that ran from (issues dates) 23 January 1965 to 9 July 1977, when it merged with The Topper after 652 issues. It featured:

It was a D.C Thomson comic and aimed at a slightly younger audience than The Beano and The Dandy. It changed it's name to The Sparky Comic in 1973.

Sparky is also the name of the main character in Tom Tomorrow's This Modern World, a comic strip about politics. Sparky was a liberal until he was hit in the head by a falling toilet, causing him to become a staunch supporter of George W. Bush.


Sparkys are also creatures in the Nintendo video game, Paper Mario, the main one being Watt, who joins Mario on his quest to defeat the evil Bowser.
