The Spanish people or Spaniards are an ethnic group native to Spain, in southwestern Europe, who are primarily descended from Latin, Visigothic, Celtic and Moorish peoples. They are most commonly associated with the Spanish language.

There are around 31.6 million people native speakers of Castilian Spanish in Spain, and a total of 42.5 million of the Spanish nationality.

They are also present in the culturally Hispanic lands of Latin America as creoles, mestizos (Spanish/Amerindian) and mulattos (Spanish/Black African).
