Sonia Waddell, nee Scown (born 19 February 1973) is a New Zealand rower.
Sonia is the daughter of former All Black Alistair Scown. In 1998 she married fellow rower Rob Waddell.
In 1990 she represented New Zealand in the 400m hurdles at the World Junior Athletic Championships.
In 2000, she competed in the single sculls at the Olympics Games.
