Something Wild is the 1997 debut album from the Finnish metal band Children of Bodom. The group started out as virtually unknown, but this album brought them an excellent reputation that only got better as they progressed as a band.
Something Wild finds Children of Bodom still developing their sound; there is a sort of power/death theme to it, sounding much darker than their later albums. The keyboards are far more suppressed than such albums as Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper. This is the album of theirs that you'll never find at your local chain CD store. It helped Children of Bodom to gain their initial following, but it is most likely their least popular album of all four.
