Someş (Hungarian:Szamos, Romanian:Someş) is one of the most important rivers of Transylvania.
There are two headstreams, "Someşul Mare" (The Great Someş), rising from the Rodnei Mountains and "Someşul Mic" (The Small Someş), rising from the Dej and flow westward to join the Tisa.
