Sognefjorden
Sognefjorden (or
Sognefjord, the suffix "-en" is a form of the
definite article in the
Norwegian language) is the largest
fjord in the world. It is situated in
Sogn og Fjordane in
Norway. It is 200 km long and 1,296 m deep. Among the important settlements on the fjord or its arms are Gudvangen and Flåm, from which the famous Flåmbanen railway climbs up to
