Sociology of disaster



         


Sociology of disaster is a special branch of sociology, research being done mostly for applied purposes, especially in the U.S.A., and to some degree as well in Germany and Italy. Theoretically, it includes not only local disasters, but as well catastrophies on a big scale (Robert A. Stallings).
