Slash Records



         


Slash started as a magazine in 1977, founded by Bob Biggs. In 1978 he started Slash Records. The magazine stopped in 1980. A subsidiary Ruby Records was started in 1981. The label was sold to London Records in 1986.

From 1982 until 1986, releases from Slash Records were distributed by Warner Bros. Records.

Slash Records features Violent Femmes, Faith No More, Los Lobos and others.
