Slaine

Sláine (pronounced 'slawin-uh') is a comic book hero from the pages of 2000 AD - one of Britain's most popular comic books.

Sláine's adventures are based upon many of the popular Celtic myths and stories. Sláine was created by writer Pat Mills, his wife Angie Mills and artist Mike McMahon. The three-volume epic Sláine: The Horned God is generally regarded as the strip's high point, and was painted by the popular artist Simon Bisley, launching his long career.
