Six Flags Darien Lake is a Six Flags theme park located between Buffalo and Rochester in Darien Lake, off the thruway (I-90).
The park first opened in May, 1997. It features rides, roller coasters, a waterpark , and attractions. One of the primere attractions is Superman: The Ride of Steel. It was originally intoduced in May, 1999. The total duration is 3 minutes and 20 seconds. The track is over one mile long and reaches speeds of 73 mph. Also included is Mind Eracer, which is the only suspended coaster that loops in the state of New York. The Predator is also a premiere ride, the tallest wooden coaster in the state, that reaches speeds of over fifty mph. The waterpark has a wavepool and five water slides. The park has daily shows and occasional concerts.
