Simcoe Day is a holiday in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is held on the first Monday in August, in honour of John Graves Simcoe, the first Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.
The holiday is commonly referred to as simply "Civic Holiday", but Simcoe Day is its proper and official name.
