Sigma Chi



         


Sigma Chi is an all-male college social fraternity that was founded in 1855 at Miami University in Ohio as an offshoot of Delta Kappa Epsilon. Part of the Miami triad, which included Beta Theta Pi, Phi Delta Theta and Sigma Chi.

The fraternity's official colors are blue and gold. Sigma Chi entails both service-oriented activities as well as social bonding for its members.

Famous "Sigs" include James Brady, Barry Goldwater, Grover Cleveland, Frank Murphy, William Marriott, Michael D. Rose, Carl Bausch, John Gingrich, Ben Wells, James Barksdale, Steven Lew, John Madigan, Lod Cook, John W. Young, Greg Harbaugh, David Letterman, John Wayne, Brad Pitt, Tom Selleck, Woody Harrelson, Warren Beatty, Brian Dennehy, Bud Adams, Jim Palmer, Mike Ditka, Mike Holmgren, Drew Brees, Jim Everett, Robert Griese, Dennis Swanson, Gordon Gould, Dr. William DeVries, Jon Huntsman
