Piast princes. Reportedly, the oldest brother, Piast, was a peasant entrusted by angels to rule Poland because of his piousness and hard-work. Three more brothers follow. Mieszko I, the first ruler of Poland and the Piast dynasty, is sometimes considered a fifth brother according to some sources.
