Professor Sidney Watkins M.D., F.R.C.S., commonly known as Sid, is head of the Formula One on-track medical team and first responder in case of a crash.
A graduate of the University of Liverpool, Professor Watkins was conferred an honorary doctorate at a ceremony in Liverpool on July 8, 2004.
